Google Relaunches Anti-Malvertising
Google has designed a custom search tool that will enable website owners to thoroughly check online adverts. The service is the remodeled version of Anti-Malvertising, specifically built to battle against the fast growing use of legitimate sites in circulating malware.“All web publishers are potential targets for malware authors attempting to spread their software by hiding malicious code within an ad's SWF (Flash) file, GIF file or landing page. If an advertiser or agency provides you with an infected ad, your computer and personal information - and that of your site's visitors - can be exposed to serious harm” Google said.
Anti-Malvertising.com is a site that helps Google's ad network partners identify potential providers of malicious advertisements. The Google custom search engine on Anti-Malvertising.com is created to provide publishers with background information about advertisers.
