Forrester Warns Cloud Computing Users on Security Risks

A report from Forrester Research revealed the great risks brought by cloud computing services. 
 

Forrested analyst Chenxi Wang said, "While cloud computing is able to deliver many benefits, organisations should not jump on the cloud wagon without a compelling business driver and a clear understanding of the security, privacy and legal consequences."

 

"Users of cloud services should not automatically assume that you are sacrificing security by moving into the cloud, but at the same time you should not trust your cloud provider implicitly to deliver security."

 

Forrester suggests that companies need to constantly check the rules affecting how their information are transmitted outside their business premises. Providers are also advised to ensure that security requirements of the business are met.
