Federal Reserve Bank ex-employee Curtis Wiltshire and his brother Kenneth Wiltshire were apprehended on Friday for pilfering sensitive data and using them to take out loans. 
 

The brothers obtained student loans amounting to US$73,000 with the stolen information in 2006. Soon after federal investigators discovered the two loan applications, both were charged with ID theft. Based on court documents, the probe was extraneous to fraud allegations. The Wiltshires were freed following the retrieval of the drive on February 15.

 

Special Agent Cordel James of the FBI said Curtis Wilthire had access to computer files containing information about employees of the [federal bank], including their names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, and photographs." Curtis is facing 30 years in jail for bank fraud and identity theft. The other Wiltshire gets 22 years if found guilty of mail fraud and identity theft .
