Chinese Companies Alleged of Hosting Cybercrimes
Two Chinese firms are accused of administering spam emails and facilitating cybercrimes by a Gary Warner, a computer security expert.Warner claims both companies, eName and Xin Net Technology, are domain registrars who accept malicious domain name registrations. Xin Net came out as the most exploited registrar in 2008, while EName is reported to have allowed web site registrations from sellers of counterfeit software, hosts of botnets and other networks plagued with internet threats.
Warner further revealed that the web sites EName has been registering are hosting malware that are posted for as long as 150 days. In his complaint, Warner stated, "we are seeing an absolute refusal to cooperate with any legitimate form of an abuse complaint.”
