A former network administrator from San Francisco, California still enforces his innocence after seven months that he's been imprisoned. Terry Childs, who was apprehended on July 12, was charged for messing up with San Francisco's Wide Area Network.Childs insist that he did nothing illicit and his actions were in accordance with the standard network security practices. If convicted, he will be facing seven years in prison. Childs' case becomes a lesson to all network administrators who have the power to take down a company's computer system.
Childs was alleged of tampering with San Francisco's new computer network to give himself exclusive access. He has declined to provide the password and was temporarily held on $5 million bail while officials tried to crack his code.
