Oracle Releases WebLogic Fix
Oracle Releases WebLogic Fix
Oracle used IT Support and released a fix two weeks after an IT engineer pointed out a details of an IT security vulnerability in its WebLogic application server. This IT security fix was released after the IT company had its set of security patches issued on January 12. This problem affects versions 7 and higher of WebLogic and Oracle says that it "strongly recommends that the fix for this vulnerability be applied as soon as possible."According to Oracle, the problem with this flaw is that if a cyber criminal has the possibility to access Node Manager's administrative port, the results can't be promising. Also, the company added that "a successful exploitation of this vulnerability may result in a full compromise of the targeted server on Windows. On other platforms, the attacker may gain access to the targeted server with the same privileges as the WebLogic server processes."
