Most Companies Get Hit by Cyberattacks

According to new data from IT company Symantec that issued a report regarding IT security in the last year, three quarters of firms have been in need of IT Support because of the fact that they had to face a cyber attack. The report from Symantec, called "2010 State of Enterprise Security", stated that each company has to pay almost 2 million dollars a year for problems such as cyber attacks.

Francis deSouza, senior vice president of enterprise security at Symantec said that "Protecting information today is more challenging than ever. By putting in place a security blueprint that protects their infrastructure and information, enforces IT policies, and manages systems more efficiently, businesses can increase their competitive edge in today's information-driven world." In order to get the IT security needed for protecting themselves from cyberattacks, organizations need to secure everything: endpoints, messaging, IT connectivity usage.
