Malware Spreading Through Fake News Bulletins

Security vendors have warned users of another malware outbreak disguised as news bulletins from credible sources like CNN. Hackers have found another way to attack PC’s through pushing breaking stories usually headlined with “Breaking News” containing fake story lines. The headlines are quite catchy which would naturally lure people to read through and unknowingly download the malicious software.
The criminals behind the attack are believed to be the same people who sent MSNBC messages with CNN logo to multiple users. It was a Trojan horse masked as a link to update Adobe Flash.
