Limbo Malware Attacks Online Banking
Limbo Malware Attacks Online Banking
A Trojan horse program, known as Limbo, is now compromising banking data by adding data entry fields to legal banking sites and dupe customers to provide sensitive information like bank card numbers and personal identification numbers.Limbo has the ability to assimilate itself into a web browser employing HTML injection technique, which allows the malware to function even when the user is at the real bank site. What's even overwhelming is, it is able to change the layout of the site giving the users no clue that their classified information has been breached.
Limbo has many access points to computers including pop up messages that prompts users to download an add-on program. It can also attack PCs in concurrence with other phishing attacks. Limbo is being sold in underground markets at a price of $350.
