IntelThe problems found by Poland researchers made IT company Intel use IT Support in order to release a patch for its series of silicon-based IT security protections. The errors in Intel's trusted execution technology (TXT) make the IT product useless as it can't protect files or prevent systems from booting. The flaw affects the Q35, GM45, PM45 Express, Q45, and Q43 Express chipsets.

"We again showed that an attacker can compromise the integrity of a software loaded via an Intel TXT-based loader in a generic way, fully circumventing any protection TXT is supposed to provide," researchers said. They also showed that there are many ways in which their software attack could defeat Intel's security measures.
