Hackers Fill Up Blogs, Email, Websites
According to a Websense report released on Thursday, it seems that hackers can't stop exploiting flaws and breaking IT security on the Internet. They do everything they can to be sure that someone with IT connectivity gets into their traps. So, they fill up the Internet with booby-trapped blog commentary, chat rooms, email messages and websites. The IT company says that 81 percent of email had "malicious" code to deliver.Stephan Chenette, an IT engineer from Websense said that hackers "use botnets nowadays to give them control over search engine rankings. They are jumping on the band wagon of any big event; at a drop of a dime they can instruct botnets to run websites and raise those links high in searches." Threat Seeker Network scans 40 million Web sites every hour for malicious code and nearly 10 million emails. This is where Websense got the information for the report.
