Anti-virus Suites Can't Block Aurora attacks
When talking about Operation Aurora which is guilty of the IT security attack against Internet company Google and other IT companies, there is no way of being secure with the anti-virus suites nowadays. The problem with these IT products is that according to recent data gathered for independent tests, they can't stop these well thought attacks. Seven different anti-virus products were tested by the NSS Labs.Rick Moy, president of NSS Labs, said that "Rather than reactively blocking individual exploits or malware, vendors should focus on minimizing their customers’ risk of exposure by insulating the vulnerability." Anthony Arrott, product manager of security analytics at Trend Micro said that "NSS Labs is building up a series of tests that measure the protection at various 'protection layers'. Individually, these tests do not attempt to measure end-to-end protection across all layers – ultimately what matters most to users." From the seven products, the one that could really prevent attacks was security software from McAfee.
