Trend Micro Enhances Gateway Protection

Trend Micro has introduced a new gateway solution for businesses. The Web Gateway Security Security solutiion offers companies URL filtering, zero-hour attack protection, and anti-malware technology. 
 

The new solution is a combination of Trend Micro's InterScan web security virtual appliance 5.0 product and the firm's new Advanced Reporting and Management module, powered by its Smart Protection Network.

 

The Advanced Reporting and Management module was create to provide IT support managers with a wider wavelength into their staff's behaviour on the internet, drill down reporting, and user activity analysis.

 

On the other hand, the InterScan Web Security Virtual Appliance offers web-based protection through integrated URL filtering, web reputation and content scanning technology.

 

“Not only are most web gateway security solutions not doing enough to stop web threats, they have very high management costs," Trend Micro gateway and collaboration director David Lieberman said. 

 

“Trend Micro Web Gateway Security gives customers better protection, more flexibility and lower total costs. Enterprise customers should not have to spend a great deal to receive superior security protection – value and quality ought to go hand in hand," he added.
