Who would have thought that the IT support industry would immerse itself into the world of politics? Technology has become a main player in today’s economy, and it’s not surprising that high-tech personas would vie for political office.
 

Former eBay CEO Meg Whitman is now aspiring to be the next governor of California.  Movie stars and other popular figures have tried their luck and succeeded in politics. Who knows, tech savvy politicians might even do better.

 

Whitman’s would-be rival is also a top brass in the Silicon Valley. She is not the first tech mogul who attempted to jump into politics, but she is probably the most prominent.

 

It has become progressively important for politicians to know the bits and pieces of today’s technology to keep their popularity. US President Barack Obama used Twitter as a way to reach out to web users. Being a tech expert won him millions of voters. IT execs who wish to become politicians could easily use the technology to conquer politics.
