IT Support Overflows in the UK Slows Down
According to Forrester’s quarterly report, investments made in IT support are still very rare, proving that the UK is at the bottom among countries recovering from recession. The recovery is estimated to be much sluggish in Europe, where both Germany and France will top countries like UK and Spain.
"The European Union was slower to get into the downturn and will be slower to get out of the downturn," said Andrew Bartels, the person who wrote the report.
"A number of economies in Europe were less aggressive in stimulus spending. Some markets in France and Germany will show some early improvement, but most forecasts I've seen are showing weaker growth than the US, with the UK and Spain not recovering until 2010."
Forrester original predicted spending to fall by 5.1 percent. However, actual figures almost doubled to 9.3 percent.
