IT Staff Getting Lesser Pay in First Quarter of 2009
Based on a new research, individuals who provide IT support are now valued lesser compared to that of the previous years. Among those who are paid well in the IT industry are workers who have skills in Apache Web servers, Sybase Adaptive Server, and Java J2EE/SE/ME.In terms of pay growth, PowerBuilder skills doesn’t go well in that direction, generating a steep decline of 50 percent. AIX, C++, CGI and dBase/XBase pay fell by 25 percent.
HP/Certified Systems Engineers have brighter future among other IT pros getting pay increase of 14.3 percent during the past three months. Sun Certified Programmer for Java Platform, HP/Accredited Integration Specialist, GIAC Certified Incident Handler and EC-Council/Certified Hacking Forensics Investigator are all trailing behind.
