Cisco Warns Against Collaboration

A study contracted by multinational corporation Cisco says that various behavioral risks taken by employees in widely distributed and isolated locations can result to loss of corporate data.


The study was participated by ,000 employees and IT support staff in 10 countries. It was conducted by InsightExpress and commissioned by Cisco. Cisco claims that distributing workforces in several locations can lead to irresponsible use of business IT resources which then leads to an outflow of classified data.



John Stewart, Cisco CSO. stated, "Businesses are enabling employees to become increasingly collaborative and mobile. Without modern-day security technologies, policies, awareness and education, information is more vulnerable."
