BCS Claims To Be the Chartered Institute of the IT Support Sector
The British Computer Society (BCS) has re-branded itself as the Chartered Institute for the IT support industry, designing a new logo and website and focusing on the UK’s oldest IT community.The BCS revealed a range of new schemes outlined to boost its value to existing members, the IT business, academic society and general public.
"We're announcing a complete transformation of BCS into The Chartered Institute for IT, and we're going to change how we present ourselves, focusing on the chartered aspect," BCS chief executive David Clarke noted.
Clarke further stated that the firm made a comprehensive research into what the IT career wants from a profession group considering that a number of people are working in an IT environment. The company has also been establishing a chartered standard over the past three years and has looked into people’s competency.
