Wi-Fi Benefits Students, Survey Says
A survey participated by college students concluded that Wi-Fi helps them get improved grades.Among the respondents, 60 percent admitted they wouldn't attend a college that doesn't have Wi-Fi internet access. About 79 percent also attributes better and faster learning to Wi-Fi. The survey was facilitated by Wakefield Research for the Wi-Fi Alliance.
Stan Schatt, VP and research director at ABI Research, said "Wi-Fi is expected as part of today's campus experience both from an educational perspective as well as from a social perspective. We expect to see Wi-Fi penetration in U.S. universities at 99% by 2013."
Various colleges and universties in the US offer Wi-Fi access to students as a way to enhance learning. Wi-Fi has become quite a phenomenon that majority of the students seem to use this as a criteria in choosing potential college schools.
