London 2012 Games Makes Key IT Appointment
Michèle Hyron has been appointed as chief integrator for the technology supporting the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.Hyron is expected to contribute with her experience, which included senior IT services roles in Athens, Beijing and Salt Lake City. She will work through Atos Origin, the supplier in charge of designing, building and operating infrastructure and systems for the London 2012 Games.
The IT services used at the games will include the provision of accreditation badges for the 250,000 members of the Olympic committee, as well as managing staff rotas and delivering real-time game results to the public.
