Google Users May Enjoy Free Music Download
Google has recently introduced its new offering, a free music download service for its Chinese users. The company will be sharing its earnings with some of the top music labels in the country as part of a drastic move to deter unlawful downloads. The service sports 350,000 songs, which is expected to boost to 1.1 million over next few months. Songs from popular artists handled by Sony, Warner, EMI and Universal will also be part of Google's latest venture.
Users can filter the songs by level of "beat" or "instrumentality" and by by artist and song name. It is anticipated to lower down the number of online piracy which is common in China. Google is hoping to sway users from illicitly downloading music from the web through its quality music service.
