T-Mobile, a mobile network operator, has launched a wireless dock for its mobile broadband USB modems. The new technology allows three users to access the Internet off one connection.
The Mobile Broadband Share Dock 100 consists of a USB HSDPA modem and a base which shares the connection over WiFi. This eneabe to unplug the modem and access the internet on the road. The dock a disc shaped device, and the USB stick simply slots into the top of the device. Users will needs a power point to run the device and the device will be SIM locked exclusively for T-Mobile customers.
The Mobile Broadband Share Dock 100 will cost £20 per month on an 18-month contract, inclusive of the dongle. Existing T-Mobile dongle owners will also be able to purchase the device separately.
T-Mobile is purported to be the fastest network among other UK mobile network operators, with an average speed of a little over 2Mb/sec in London. The company is consistently voted as the best mobile phone operator in the UK.
