Schlage Unveils Web-Controlled Door Locks

Schlage Unveils Web-Controlled Door LocksCompanies need not worry about the security within their business premises.  Door lock manufacturer, Schlage, introduced a new array of deadbolt locks that can be operated remotely through the internet.  The locks are battery operated and can be opened with a standard key or four digit password.  However, they can also be opened and closed remotely using a computer or mobile phone.

The locks, named Link by Schlage developers, have a built in wireless home automation capability that helps bind home electronics into a single integrated wireless network using Z-Wave accessory modules. The wireless signal is 128-bit encrypted to protect against unauthorized access.

Interested buyers will only  have to shell out  $299, with an additional $199 cost for extra locks and a $12.99 monthly service fee, which includes 100MB of storage for IP camera video for extra security.
