Mozilla Cautions Users of Firefox Flaw

Mozilla revealed Firefox users could be hit by JavaScropt flaw, which exists in versions with JavaScript tool within its 'just in time' (JIT) component.

Mozilla warned that hackers have already released a working exploit on the vulnerability, which could boost attacks. In a Firefox security alert, users are given directions on ways to temporarilly disable the JIT component. Users can also try launching the browser in Windows Safe Mode to abate possibilities of being attacked.

Hackers have been aiming for popular browser exploits lately, hitting IE and other commonly used browsers. Just very recently, an ActiveX plug-in for video has been found by Microsoft, which targets Internet Explorer. Another Office plug-in flaw was discovered by the firm yesterday, which could affect thousands of users.
