MobileMe Users Discover Key Security Frailty
Apple's MobileMe has been in the spotlight recently due to some complaints of slow and unreliable performance. Now, users found yet another weakness in MobileMe's key security.MobileMe is a subscription-based collection of online services and software offered by Apple Inc. It allows users to synchronize e-mail, calendar and contact information among various devices over the Internet. Apple does not encryot data that users send from browsers through MobileMe. The lack of Secure Socket Layer means users on Wi-Fi connection, would most likely share its internet data with other users connected to the same hotspot.
Most of free web mail applications do not encrypt data but MobileMe users feel they deserve to have enhanced security features since they are paying for the service.
