Microsoft announced it will include Twitter posts in its Bing search results.
Microsoft said it has deliberately picked out a significant number of Twitter users to generate results for Bing search engine. The number of users will soon progress, according to the search company.
Microsoft’s Search Technology Center Sean Suchter stated in a blog, "Today we are unveiling an initial foray into integrating more real-time data into our search results, starting with some of the more prominent and prolific Twitterers from a variety of spheres."
"We are not indexing all of Twitter at this time, just a small set of prominent and prolific Twitterers to start. We picked a few thousand people, based primarily on their follower count and volume of tweets," Suchter added.
Twitter results will not be displayed automatically. Users need to use specific search terms to get results from Twitter posts.
