Microsoft to Release Windows 7 Features
Microsoft Corp. will be releasing the details of the technology inside Windows 7 in October. The developers will be showcasing their work at the Professional Developers Conference and the Windows Hardware Engineering Conference. The new version is expected to be released in January 2010.Windows 7, formerly codenamed Blackcomb and later, Vienna, is a work in progress following the release of Windows Vista. Microsoft has announced that they are running a three-year timeframe on the project. The client version if Windows 7 will ship both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. A server variant, codenamed Windows Server 7, is also under development.
Microsoft is keeping mum on the specifications of the new Windows version as it still focuses on the release and marketing of Windows Vista.
