Microsoft Releases Two Emergency Fixes
Microsoft has released emergency patches for Internet Explorer and Visual Studio to fix the flaws that enable remote code execution on both software. IE update is rated 'critical' while that of hte Visual Studio is tagged 'moderate'.In an official statement, Microsoft said, "While we can't go into specifics about the issue prior to release, we can say that the Visual Studio bulletin will address an issue that can affect certain types of applications."
"The IE bulletin will provide defence-in-depth changes to help provide additional protections for the issues addressed by the Visual Studio bulletin. The IE update will also address vulnerabilities rated as critical that are unrelated to the Visual Studio bulletin that were privately and responsibly reported."
Microsoft has been traditionally releasing security updates on Tuesdays. The firm is slated to host webcasts on July 28 from 1pm to 4pm, to elaborate more on the issues at hand.
