Microsoft Releases Fix of SQL Server Flaw
Microsoft has released a patch for SQL Server vulnerability which exposes passwords to users with administrative access.The flaw affects SQL Server 2000, 2005 and 2008 that are installed in Windows machines, which employ mixed-authentication mode. It allows intruders to gain access to personal accounts using the same passwords.
Microsoft’s researches have found out personal passwords which were cracked in SQL Server memory. The flaw also exposes software login information. Microsoft does not classify the vuln as critical, although the firm consider it as significant.
