Microsoft Pushes Silverlight for iPhone
Microsoft has been battling to put Silverlight to iPhone despite the fact that Apple is still not ready to enable such plugin in its most celebrated device. The company had talks with Apple, but it seems like the possibility of putting Silverlight on iPhone is still dim. Microsoft's Scott Guthrie said, "To date, what they've said is that at this time, they're not looking to enable browser plug-ins like Silverlight or Flash to run on top of it. They might in the future, but right now it isn't an option for any vendor and so if they let us we'll definitely come."
Gutrie also added, "Until they open it up to third-party plug-ins, like Silverlight and Flash, we're both prevented from running there."
Microsoft is also currently monitoring the success of Android as it is considering to run Silverlight on the mobile operating system. The new Android-powered phone, which will be released by Google, has already received massive pre-orders and Microsoft is hoping to promote its plugin along with the anticipated success of the novel phone.
