Microsoft Guarantees Vista Patch in Windows7
Microsoft has showcased the features of Windows 7 at the Professional Developers Conference, promising major fixes on its predecessor's flaws.The company also introduced a roadmap for the new operating system's release next year. Test releases and release candidates will follow after Microsoft has garnered some feedbacks to further enhance the features of Windows 7.
According to Steven Sinofsky, senior vice president of Windows and Windows Live Microsoft, the official distribution of the much awaited OS will remain on schedule. That is, three years after Vista, slating its general availability by 2010.
Windows 7 is the next version of Microsoft Windows and the purported replacement of Windows Vista. It boasts new features such as advancements in touch, speech, and handwriting recognition, support for virtual hard disks, improved performance on multi-core processors, improved boot performance, and kernel improvements.
