Microsoft Distributes Vista Add-ons

Microsoft launched three downloadable add-ons designed for Windows Vista Ultimate five months after the company released updates on its "Ultimate Extras".  The new add-ons can be downloaded exclusively by Vista Ultimate users, who can find them on the Windows Update screen.


Tinkers, one of the add-ons released, is a Windows sound pattern based on a game. Dreamscape is also included in the set which is a video-based screensaver.

Some users find the add-ons rather disappointing and others even want to uninstall them immediately after installing.  Microsoft has been fired up with criticisms on its Ultimate Extras since it debuted last year. Ultimate Extras are optional features offered to users of Windows Vista Ultimate Edition. They are accessible with Windows Update.  Microsoft has been criticized for not offering many useful Extras after the release of Vista Utimate edition.
