Marks & Spencer Reports Sales Growth

Marks & Spencer (M&S) recently reported a 28 percent year-on-year growth, showing how consumers are beginning to stabilize. 
 

The sales growth came subsequent to the company's move to focus on online improvement.   Significant changes on its website were made, and a major overhaul is slated this autumn. 

 

M&S chairman Stuart Rose said  “We are pleased with the improving trend in our performance. This demonstrates that the actions we are taking are working."

 

“Consumer confidence appears to be stabilising. However, we remain cautious about the outlook for the remainder of this and next year and will continue to run the business accordingly," Rose added. 

 

M&S plans to offer new services like international delivery, wine club and gift card redemption on its website.
