M2E Power Develops Motion-Powered Cell Phone Charger

M2E Power is expecting to release a charger that can harvest enough motion from walking to recharge cell phones or other small gadgets. The charger comes in pocket size and is said to be able to produce about 60 minutes worth of talk time after six hours of motion.  Inside the unit is a lithium battery and a series of coils and magnets. Power is created by using "motion-produced electromagnetic fields that are harvested, converted to electrical energy and stored for use in a variety of scalable applications."  Users with limited time will have the option to plug it into a wall socket.
M2E Power is aiming large markets on developing countries. Prices will range from $20 to $40.
