Intel's Atom Now Has Sufficient Supply

Intel's shortage of Atom chips supply is finally over.

Companies manufacturing netbooks which features the Atom processor are no longer having any problems obtaining enough stocks of the chip.  Earlier this year, shortage of Atom was seen which affected many sub-notebook manufacturers such as Acer and Asustek Computer. By October, signs that the scarcity of the much anticipated chips have surfaced.

One of the early verifications that the paucity has ended was the announcement made by Jeff Clarke, senior vice president of Dell's Business Product Group. Clarke noted that Dell has an ample supply of Atom chips for its recently launched Optiplex FX160 thin-client computer.

The cessation of Atom chip scarcity in October coarsely meets Intel's objective to ship the processors in high quantity. In addition, it alleviates fears among vendors that  fewer chips will be distributed by the end of this year.
