Rumors regarding HP's plan to give customers an option to use other operating systems have been flying around recently, and it seems like the company is heading towards the speculated move.The operating system is recounted to be Linux-based with several alterations to ensure easier accessibility among its users. The shift is said to be part of HP's plan to become less reliant on Windows.
HP has not fortified the report, but had once acknowledged the possibility of creating a new group within its Labs that would create the touchscreen technology and special software featured in its TouchSmart PC. Furthermore, the company expressed it doesn't see any need to have its own operating system as of yet.
