HP Develops iPhone Counterpart
According to Wall Street Journal, Hewlett-Packard is planning to jump into the smarrtphone bandwagon and develop an iPhone counterpart.The new device will be included in the HP iPAQ line that has been booting Windows Mobile Smartphones for business use. iPAQ refers to a Pocket PC and personal digital assistant which provides multimedia capabilities using a Microsoft Windows interface.
Details on the new device were not fully disclosed as of yet, but it will most likely sport a touchscreen, keypad, and will be running Windows Mobile 6.1. The phone is anticipated to hit the European market by the end of this year and will be released worldwide immediately right after.
