Hospital Validates Apple CEO's Liver Transplant
The Methodist University Hospital Transplant Institute has confirmed Steve Jobs had a liver trasplant two months back. The hospital finally ended speculations concerning Job's health. Jobs received special treatment from the hospital over other patients waiting for liver donor."He received a liver transplant because he was the patient with the highest Model for End-Stage Liver Disease score of his blood type, and therefore the sickest patient on the waiting list at the time a donor organ became available," the hospital said.
"Mr Jobs is now recovering well and has an excellent prognosis."
Jobs is reported to have resumed working in Apple, negating rumors that he would leave the company due to health reasons. Many Apple followers have expressed deep concern over his health. He was even rumored to be suffering from pancreatic cancer, which also worried shareholders.
