Hackers Strike Adobe Reader Flaw
Internet crooks are currently exploiting the flaws in Adobe Reader which was patched this week.Bojan Zdrnja, an analyst at SANS Institute's Internet Storm Center (ISC), alerted users of purported malevolent PDF files which attack systems by exploiting one of the bugs plaguing Adobe Systems Inc. The files consist of several Core Security code. There are no security software capable of identifying the infected PDF files as of yet.
Adobe recently released Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat version 8.1.3 designed to patch eight bugs. Secunia ASP, a Danish vulnerability tracking company distributes a free utility known as Personal Software Inspector (PSI) that scans Windows machines for unpatched and out-of-date software.
