Google Takes the Lead in Mobile Search

Google has conquered the mobile market apart from its success in the search industry.  Opera, a web browser firm, revealed that Google continues to dominate in mobile search throughout some regions like Southeast Asia. 
 

Mobile search is among the areas that have battled recession successfully.  Based on Opera’s report, page views through mobile devices take up 16.3% of mobile traffic.

 

Opera CEO Jon von Tetzchner said, "Searching the Web via a mobile device presents an enormous opportunity for both search engines and consumers.”

 

"Almost all search engines are moving forward to offer relevant and timely information based on location. Yet, consumers prefer services from the search engines they already know and use,”  he added.
