Google Bucks Up Blackberry Support

Search leader Google has announced the impending release of Google Apps Connector for BlackBerry Enterprise Server. This allows Blackberry users to  easily access apps like Gmail. 
 

Raju Gulabani, product management director at Google, said, "It allows users to access Gmail, Google Calendar and Contacts using the built-in BlackBerry smartphone applications they already know and love."

 

"For instance, users can instantly receive Gmail messages within the built-in email client on their BlackBerry smartphones. And they can continue to use the same shortcuts to manage their BlackBerry messages."

 

Blackberry users are now enjoying various Google apps, but Google's new offering guarantees a tighter integration with the mobile device.  Another new highlight will be the synchronization support for Calendar and Contacts.

 

Google Apps Connector for BlackBerry Enterprise Server is currently on beta testing with a number of firms and universities. Premier and Education Edition customers can obtain the tool in July.
