Facebook Introduces New Service for iPhone

Facebook has recently launched Facebook Connect, a service designed for perhaps the most celebrated smartphone today, the iPhone. The new feature is now ready for use with respective participating apps. iPhone users can connect their apps with their Facebook account and share them with friends. 
 

Dave Morin, senior platform manager at Facebook, said, "For the first time, your iPhone apps can now have friends. I can pull out my iPhone and play it not only my other friends with iPhones, but I can also play with my mom--she can join in and play with us on her computer."

 

iPhone developers were invited to exhibit their new functionality. Developers representing representing Playfish, Tapulous, and SGN flaunted ways to get the Facebook Connect in iPhone working with games. 

 

iPhone users can enjoy apps that are using Facebook Connect such as Urbanspoon and Flixster Movies. Facebook Connect-enabled apps can soon be obtained from Citysearch, CitizenSports, Loopt, MTV, EA Sports, among others.
