Developers Now Working on iPhone 3.0 Jailbreak

Although iPhone 3.0 firmware is yet to be released, developers are already working on a jailbreak which iPhone enthusiasts would greatly enjoy. Apple just recently announced the release of the latest iPhone operating system, which sports 100 new features.

Apple introduced a beta version to the iPhone Developer Program, and it didn’t take time for developers to find ways in cracking the new software.  The Dev-Team verified users can already jailbreak the software. However, iPhone users who have already unlocked their 3G unit using Yellowsnow would encounter some issues if they download the beta version of iPhone 3.0.

Yellowsnow is another software used to unlock the iPhone 3G. It exploits the mobile device’s baseband radio, which is utilized when connecting 3G to the network. The Dev-Team advises users not to download 3.0 if they have already used Yellowsnow as this will result to completely losing the software.

Dev-Team is not the only group of developers setting their eyes on iPhone 3.0.  Another developer managed to activate the new iPhone through a USB cable. Apple has announced iPhone 3.0 will have the ability to connect to the internet via bluetooth, although this feature is optional.
