The product boasts an anti-microbial keyboard and a "network activity light", allowing teachers to spot students who prefer to surf the internet rather than pay attention to class. The "germ-free" netbook, dubbed as Latitude 2100, sports a keyboard which is covered with a silver material, an optional feature of the product. Users may it at $369, and they only need to add $20 for the keyboard.
Latitude 2100 also features a rubberized case to avoid scratches from bumps and drops, as well as a carrying handle meant for smaller hands. It carries Intel's Atom N270 1.6-GHz CPU. Dell describes the netbook as "an entirely new platform" and "not a rebranded Dell mini."
