Blu-Ray Deemed Not to Survive Without PS3
Blu-Ray Deemed Not to Survive Without PS3
A new study was found Friday, concluding that most average consumers do not feel the importance of Blue-ray. PS3 is the only thing keeping it in the market. Most of the PS3 owners are just even buying Blue-ray movies rather than acquiring a dedicated Blue-ray player. An ABI survey of 1,000 people found that over 50% have "no plans" to purchase a Blu-ray player. A further 23% said they are likely to buy a Blu-ray player, but not until at least 2009. It was also found out that consumers are satisfied with the standard definition DVD's.
With all these surveys coming out, the Blue-ray player is still not expected to cost above $300 until 2009.
Blu-ray Disc (also known as Blu-ray or BD) is an optical disc storage media format. Its main uses are high-definition video and data storage. The disc has the same dimensions as a standard DVD or CD
