AT&T Stopped Selling iPHone in NYC
For not yet made public reasons, IT company AT&T Inc. suspended online sales of iPhones to New Yorkers over the weekend and after that it started selling them again on Monday. Spokesman Fletcher Cook said that the IT services company periodically "modifies" its distribution channels without any particular reason what so ever. He had no further comments. Some bloggers think that the sales suspension was a way of managing data traffic. That is maybe because of the fact that AT&T has said that its network is overburdened with iPhone users in New York and San Francisco. Even though users with NYC ZIP codes were told on AT&T's internet site "Please shop for another phone," on Monday evening there were no obstacles when the same ZIP codes were supplied.
