Archos has made some additions to its wide array of products, taking its chances in the portable computing market. The new products include an ultra-mobile PC and a number of netbooks. One of the most notable additions is the Archos 9 PC Tablet, a mobile PC which runs on an Intel Z515 processor and operates on Windows 7. It sports a 9in touch-screen, with 0GB to 160GB hard drive, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and dual TV tuners.

The system is bundled with Microsoft Office 2007 for 12 months, and carries a six-month trial version of Parental Filter and BitDefender Antivirus 2009. Users can get the device by the end of July at £329.99, with a three-cell battery and £349.99 for the six-cell version.
Another sophisticated device added to Archos’ list is the Archos 13, which boasts a 10-cell battery, Intel Celeron Ultra Low Voltage processor, a 250GB hard drive, 802.11n Wi-Fi and HDMI output. The unit weighs a very impressive 1.6kg.
The fourth new offering is Archos Classmate, which has the features of the most commonly used netbooks today. It costs £319.99, sporting a shock-proof casing, water-resistant keyboard and integrated carrying handle.
