Apple Launches Safari 4 Beta

Apple has finally released the public beta version of Safari 4. The browser is deemed to be 30 times faster than Internet Explorer 7 and thrice as fast as Mozilla's Firefox.


Apple included features such as Top Sites which allow users to take a peek at the visual preview of most visited pages. Another attribute is its Full History Search which enable web users to search through titles, URLs, and the entire text of recently viewed pages. The browser also sports a Cover Flow, designed to make it easier for users to browse through web history or bookmarks as well as Tabs on Tops to make tabbed browsing manageable.



Safari 4 beta can be downloaded for free and is now available in Apple's web site. Apple's new offering requires Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.6 and Security Update 2009-001 or Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11, and a minimum of 256MB RAM.
