Adobe Flaw Increases Risky PDF Files

Internet users should be careful in opening PDF files as a new flaw in two Adobe Systems programs has just been uncovered. Hackers are extremely exploiting the flaw, although the attacks have not become that extensive as of yet.

The flaw lies in Adobe Reader and Acrobat version 9 and other vesions. The attack can be triggered by a buffer overlow which then allows cyber crooks to manipulate your computer. The flaw could be exploited on Windows XP SP3.

Adobe has deemed the flaw critical and gave it the most severe rating. A patch for Reader 9 will be released on March 11. Other patches will be available in the coming weeks.
