Smartphones to Face Growing Threats

Smartphones have different IT security issues that appear as their users use IT connectivity to surf the Internet without proper protection. Now, these IT products have to face growing threats of getting hacked, but IT companies have managed problems until now. Of course, as hackers get smarter and try to find new methods to hack into IT products, IT security should be a major priority to smartphones manufacturers.

Different software security companies have talked about this at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Mikko Hyppoenen, chief research officer at F-Secure said that "Tomorrow we could see a worm on phones which would go around the world in five minutes. It could have happened already. It hasn't, but it could happen. And I do think that sooner or later it will happen, but when?" Eugene Kaspersky, founder and chief executive of software protection firm Kaspersky Lab said that "Malware is developed to make more money. It doesn't matter if it's computers or smartphones."
